The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiatives (LANI), is excited to inform you that we received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the Community Investment for Families Department (CIFD) to create a safer, more welcoming, and positive walking environment for the neighborhood surrounding Grape Street Elementary.
The Watts Rising Collaborative and LANI are excited to begin the solicitation process for community partners to take on this project and work with school staff, neighbors, and students to see their vision come to life!
We are seeking a designer firm that has experience in implementing school signage projects that include participatory engagement strategies involving students, faculty, and community stakeholders. Project details, including general scope and budget, can be found in the Request for Proposal, linked in our Google Drive and below.
We welcome your organization to submit a proposal to accomplish this work no later than Monday, August 3, 2026 at 5 pm. If your organization is interested in taking on this project, please follow the instructions on the RFP.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 1-2 pm PST. This is a chance to ask any preliminary questions about the project opportunity. Zoom Meeting Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88471867822?pwd=0fg6hKbabbHVwqKI66Nq5qahpHZvRu.1
