Watts Earth Day Celebration

On behalf of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles & Watts Rising, we are pleased to invite all who are interested in participating in the Watts Earth Day Celebration: Rooted Residents, Thriving Trees Event. This amazing event will be held in the great community of Watts on Success Ave. between 103rd St. and Century Blvd. on April 22nd, 2023, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is Watts Rising’s fourth year holding this event, and we have traditionally hosted more than 300 residents and community members.

Given your commitment to the Watts community and the importance of educating communities heavily impacted by poor air quality and extreme heat, we would love for you all to come out and share about the benefits of more trees and cleaner air, we know that this would be a great event for you to join and provide resources from your respective organizations and departments. Watts Earth Day Celebration: Rooted Residents, Thriving Trees is an excellent occasion to reach families, residents, and community members who collaborate with Watts Rising in striving to ensure that all children in Watts have the opportunity to reach their full potential through a cleaner living environment.
